Make Art Public – MAP will once again take over downtown Montreal, proposing a new outdoor exhibit to the pedestrians, “ LIFE IS AN EXTREME SPORT!  Launched at the Société des arts technologiques – SAT on November 3rd, 2009, MAP’s artistic project reunites 34 different works of photographic art from 6 reknowned artists originating from Canada  – Lynne CohenAlana Riley, from China – Li Wei, from the United States – Olaf Breuning, from Israel – Nadav Kander and from France – Denis Darzacq. Spread onto numerous spaces usually reserved for publicity, the photos will also be exposed onto 10 new permanent structures installed at the Parc Émilie-Gamelin (corner Sainte-Catherine and Berri).LIFE IS AN EXTREME SPORT is an artistic view on the fast-paced rythm of life in modern society. More complex, more dangerous and faster, contemporary life takes on the allure of a sportive performance. This urban exhibition was conceived around pieces that express the new realities that make life seem like an extreme sport.

34 pieces, 6 artists and the city as a museum!

So that’s next Tuesday, November 3rd, starting from 5pm at the SAT- Société des arts technologiques, 1195 St-Laurent, in Montreal.
